Ms Louise Kelly MCh, FRCSI (Gen. Surg.), graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1996.  She was appointed to the Cork Voluntary Hospital Basic Surgical Training Scheme in 1997. 

She first developed an interest in Breast Surgery while working in the South Infirmary Victoria Hospital with Mr John Kelly and Mr Denis Richardson.  In 2000 Ms Kelly was appointed as Surgical Lecturer in St Vincent's University Hospital Dublin and completed a Masters in Surgery on 'Regulatory Mechanisms in the Development of Breast Cancer'. 

Her research has been published and presented nationally and internationally in peer review journals.  She has trained in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery at St Mary's, Paddington, London and completed Higher Surgical Training in Ireland rotating through the St Vincent's, Mater Misericordae and University College Galway Breast Units. She achieved her FRCSI Gen Surg in 2008 and was appointed Consultant General/ Breast/ Endocrine Surgeon at Cork University Hospital in August 2009.
