Dr Tara Jane Browne, MB(Hons), MRCPI, FRCPath. Dr Browne is a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (1993). After obtaining her MRCPI in 1996 she trained in Histopathology at the Mater Misericordiae and Beaumont Hospitals in Dublin. She then completed subspecialty Fellowships in Breast Pathology, Cytopathology and Genitourinary Pathology among others at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston. She was appointed to her current position as Consultant Histopathologist and Cytopathologist at Cork University Hospital in 2005.Her research interests include the use of biomarkers in oncologic pathology.
