Dr. Eugene Joseph Moylan M.B. B.S. (Sydney University) F.R.A.C.P.  Consultant Medical Oncologist Cork University Hospital/Kerry General Hospital. Eugene Moylan graduated Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Sydney University in 1980 and completed Physician Training in Medical Oncology with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in1986. Following the completion of training, he worked for 12 months supervising and organising the physician trainee teaching programme at Prince of Wales Hospital. In 1988 he was appointed as a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney's Southwest and over the next 19years played a substantial role in the development of the South-Western Sydney Area Cancer Service and the enhancement of Liverpool Hospital to the level of a major tertiary referral and University Teaching Hospital.
In 1997, he was appointed the Director of Medical Oncology at Sydney's Liverpool Hospital. Dr. Moylan was an active member of the Western Sydney Area Breast Group and worked with others to write the Breast Cancer Protocols for the NSW Breast Cancer Institute published in 2001. In Australia, he was an active member of the Australia and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group, recruiting patients into collaborative breast cancer research studies over many years. He helped establish and subsequently participate in and chair the South- Western Sydney Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Group.
In late 2007, Dr. Moylan was appointed Consultant Medical Oncologist to Cork University Hospital/Kerry General Hospital, with full registration on the General Register of Medical Practitioners Ireland and inclusion in the Division of Medical Oncology of the Register of Medical Specialists maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland.
Breast cancer care remains a major component of his current clinical practice and he continues to participate in research through multi-centre international clinical trial groups (BIG and NSABP).
